I received my B.A. in Psychology and English and M.A. in Psychology from Stanford University, and completed my M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. I completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and went on to complete an APA-accredited postdoctoral psychology fellowship specializing in pediatric psychology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Throughout my training and career, I have worked in diverse clinical settings, including public and university hospitals, specialty mental health clinics, and residential treatment facilities.
In addition to my private practice, I am the psychologist in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In this setting, I provide care to youth, adults, and families coping with food allergies, other allergic conditions, and immune deficiency. I also supervise psychology trainees, teach, and maintain an active program of research into the intersection between mental and physical health.
As a pediatric/health psychologist, I specialize in helping youth and adults cope with acute and chronic illness, and also support families in coping with and caring for loved ones with health conditions. I am well versed in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, behavioral challenges, and feeding difficulties. I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, parent management training, and mindfulness-based therapies. In addition, I am certified in the treatment of perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International. I am also certified in working with children with developmental delays and disabilities through the California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities interdisciplinary training program.
I am passionate about working with individuals, parents, and families to promote happy and fulfilling lives, nurture positive growth, and build resilience.
